The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is an economic powerhouse. If it were its own country, its gross state product would be more than most other countries on the planet. One of its leading industries in Pennsylvania is the banking industry. PNC Financial Services is the state’s largest bank and is based out of Pittsburgh. Although Pennsylvania is home to several large metropolitan areas, it is mostly a rural state, which means that agriculture is also a big business. Mushrooms, apples, and Christmas trees are only a handful of the products produced in the state. With a diverse landscape and close proximity to New York City, there is plenty to do in Pennsylvania. Home to several prestigious universities and colleges, the state is an excellent place to grow up, go to school, and to work.
